Boaters Pass and General Recreation Info for the Lower Deschutes Click here to purchase your Deschutes River Boater Pass. This pass is required for anyone planning to float any part of the Lower Deschutes River from Warm Springs to the Mouth. This is not only for those in driftboats or rafts. All river users in any type of floating device must have a pass and must state where they are floating. This includes pontoon boats, kayaks, canoes, boogie boards, float tubes, etc. Please note, if you are going on a guided trip through our fly shop, we will purchase the boater pass for you.
Waterwatch - Protecting Natural Flows in Oregon Rivers A non-profit watchdog organization that protects our waters and the fish that swim in them.
Native Fish Society Bill Bakke heads this organization which fights for the rights of wild fish. If you care about wild steelhead and salmon as well as wild trout, click here to find out how you can become more involved in giving back to the resource.
Freshwater Trust Freshwater Trust has been a leader in educating our young people in Oregon as to why they should care about salmon, steelhead, and trout that swim in our state's waters. This is another great organization to support if you care about Oregon's wild rivers. Volunteers are always welcome!
Deschutes River Conservancy If you care about the Deschutes, look into supporting or volunteering for this non-profit based in Bend. They are doing great things to protect the Deschutes during the boom of Central Oregon.
Wild Fish Conservancy Based in Washington and formerly known as Washington Trout, this non-profit organization is working to protect the rivers and native fish of the Northwest.
