Formerly a Granary (Grain storage barn) for the ranch, the Granary was gutted and remodeled just a few years ago in order to provide lodging for guests of the ranch. Though rustic on the outside, walk through the door and you will find that the cabin has a charming and homey interior.
The long screen porch is a nice place to relax and barbeque up some steaks after a long day of fishing. We provide a large propane barbeque, cooking utensils, cookware, a full-sized refrigerator, sink, microwave oven, and electric griddle. The Granary does not have a conventional oven or cook top, so we suggest that you bring the fixin's to BBQ and a quick and easy breakfast (like microwave Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, or breakfast burritos).
The sleeping arrangements are dormitory style in this one room cabin. We have four bunks and one futon couch that folds out to become a bed. Bring your own bedding - sleeping bags are best, (sheets are not provided). Bring your own bath towels, there is a shower in the full bath (yes, running water!)
The Granary cabin is steps away from a small lake called the Granary lake. This is a lake that you can fish at the crack of dawn and just before dark, but we will have regular lake assignments for the Granary cabin guests - which will require a drive of 1/2 to 5 miles in your vehicle. The ranch is huge and the lakes are spread out over thousands of acres.
The Granary cabin requires a two night minimum stay. Check out time is 12:00 Noon and Check in time is 4:00 PM. IF you are planning to fish the day of your arrival, please let us know. Arrival day fishing plus departure day fishing equals one full day rod fee.
