The Davis House is outstanding in its field - literally - your only neighbor is the Granary cabin roughly a mile down the dirt road that bisects the Grass Valley chain of private ranch lakes.
Set in a true old-fashioned farmyard, the Davis place is surrounded by charming old wooden barns, a windmill, and corrals. Sometimes the whole farmyard picture is complete with a few sheep or horses in the pasture next to the barn.
The interior of the Davis house features a full kitchen complete with stove, cooktop, refrigerator, microwave oven, pots, pans, cooking utensils, plates, silverware, glasses, everything you need (other than food) to prepare your own meals during your stay. The propane BBQ grill is right outside the front door.
The one big bedroom has five beds. The couch in the living room will sleep a sixth, if needed. Bedding is not provided in any of our ranch cabins, so please bring a sleeping bag or sheets and your own bath towel. The Davis House has a full bathroom with shower/tub and a couple of sinks.
The living room has a woodstove for those chilly Spring and Fall evenings, satellite TV, and the rare and elusive talking deer head. Kick back in the evenings and enjoy the company of your best fishing buddies.
Step outside the door of the Davis House and you are within 1-5 miles of all of the private lakes in the Grass Valley chain. Each day that you fish the private waters you will be assigned to a group of lakes to fish and you may fish them from dawn 'til dusk. Head back to the house for dinner and back to one of your lakes for the last light fishing.
