Airflo Salmon/Steelhead PolyLeader
The polyleader is the leader of choice for use with our Vision Ace shooting heads. The poly coating provides the perfect amount of "stick" to anchor your leader in the water while forming a D-Loop. These Polyleaders are available in seven densities and in 5 foot, 10 foot, and 15 foot lengths to provide complete depth control, so often essential for the correct fly presentation when salmon/steelhead fishing. Floating leaders work well when fishing skaters or slightly subsurface flies. The Clear Hover and Clear Intermediate polyleaders are fantastic on windy days to help hold your anchor and to fish flies just inches below the surface. The Fast, Super Fast and Extra Super Fast Sinking Leaders are excellent mini-tips to use with full floating lines to get that little bit of depth. The PolyLeader has a 24 ft monofilament core which is the terminal tip of the leader. To this section of mono, an angler may tie any diameter tippet. We have been using these leaders for several years and have not found any leader that does such a fantastic job for steelhead and salmon.
