When salmonflies and big golden stones are both airborne, tie this fly on for the greatest success- and here's why: Salmonflies drop their eggs from the air, while golden stones ovaposit directly on the water. This gives the trout more opportunity to grab the goldens over salmonflies while both are hatching in numbers.
