October caddis hatch in the evening and come back to the water through the afternoon. This fly floats exceptionally well with its foam body, and makes a perfect fly to fish in a deep pocket areas along with a trailing nymph.
Also, look out for steelhead honing in on this bug. In October, orange becomes a great trigger color for steelhead, and for that reason in addition to its high floating design this fly makes a fantastic skater for steelhead!
