Spey casting does not allow a dry fly to properly air out in between presentations, so John Hazel invented the PFD series of skaters - with tiny little life jackets stapped on to help those babies float. The bright foam gives the angler a good visual reference when skating through riffles or waves. Another fine pattern available only through Deschutes Angler Fly Shop.
