Caddis are the most prevalent aquatic insect in the Deschutes River. Almost any time of year some kind of caddis pupa or nymph will be productive in many different water types. As the summer months roll around, the caddis activity increases and you can't go wrong with caddis nymphs, pupa or dry flies. Be sure you stock up on the latest pattern.
